Millikin University Campus Visit Days feature sessions about academic and athletic programs. Prospective students also have a chance to speak with Millikin admission and financial aid staff, take a campus tour and meet with faculty.
Prospective students had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Millikin during a recent Campus Visit Day on Oct. 10. In a recent interview with NowDecatur WSOY-AM, Visit and Communications Coordinator for the Office of Admission at Millikin Shelby Baum offered insight into the importance of a Campus Visit Day.
"Cost is a big thing, every student wants to know about cost and if there are scholarship opportunities," Baum said. "They want to know where they'll live and how the food is. Academics are important but the students normally come in wanting to know more about the social opportunities."
In addition to Campus Visit Days, Millikin will also be hosting Spotlight Visit Days, where students can learn more about a specific area of study, tour program facilities, and speak to faculty and advisors within that academic field.
