A few members of the Millikin Class of 2017 took some time to reflect on their favorite memories from the past four years on campus, and why they chose to attend Millikin.
Millikin University honored 340 graduates at its 113th Commencement Ceremony on May 21, 2017.
Recent graduate Haley Hogenkamp, from St. Henry, Ohio, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, said her favorite memory from Millikin was being a First-Year Experience Mentor.
"To see students that you invest in grow up throughout their time at Millikin has been rewarding and it's changed my life," Hogenkamp said.
Trey Pogue, from Marion, Ind., who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, said, "I think what makes Millikin stand out is that everyone at Millikin really cares. The faculty want you to do well in your classes and co-curricular activities. There are so many Performance Learning opportunities that allow you to get hands-on experiences."
Long-Vanderburg Scholar Ketyra Taylor, from Cary, Ill., who earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, noted, "Being able to create my own presentation for Day of Scholarship, thinking about different aspects of my identity, and seeing how the people in my cohort have evolved over time has been amazing."
