Tim Stone joined the corporation in January 1995 having previously worked for the BJC Healthcare System in St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Stone had senior management responsibility at both the BJC affiliates in West St. Louis County (1990-1995) and St. Peters, Mo (1988-1990).
Mr. Stone is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives as well as other professional organizations. Mr. Stone currently holds the position of chairperson of the Board of Directors of Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA)/Mid-America Region. He serves as treasurer of Mid-America Service Solutions, a supply chain company owned by Decatur Memorial Hospital and eight other healthcare systems. He also serves as chairperson on the Decatur and Macon County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.
Mr. Stone received his bachelor's degree in business management with an emphasis in healthcare administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo., in 1986 and a master's degree in health services management from Webster University in 1988.
Millikin's Science Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, brought to you by Busey, focuses on science entrepreneurship and how an increased emphasis on entrepreneurship can spark job creation and societal well-being. The mission of Millikin University's Institute for Science Entrepreneurship is to connect Millikin University, its students, and the greater community to opportunities for personal, professional and organizational advancement through science entrepreneurship. The institute was founded by Dr. David Horn, professor of biology, Dr. George Bennett, professor of chemistry, and Dr. Casey Watson, associate professor of physics.
