"This job has probably never focused on athletics as much as it has right now," Bolsen said. "I knew coming in this job was kind of open-ended because of all the moving parts we have here; we have so many areas we need to get to, and athletics is one area that's really a priority right now. We have a lot of things we want to accomplish."
As associate director of development at Millikin, a job he started in June 2015, Bolsen works with the Big Blue Club and Millikin coaches to raise money for the university.
"(Millikin Athletic Director Dr. Craig White) needed a right-hand guy that he goes to for development-related things, and it's a role I've quickly embraced."
As a member of the Office of Alumni & Development, Bolsen works with many areas of development, including oversight of the College of Fine Arts Patrons Society. Bolsen earned a Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was also an athletic department graduate assistant. Bolsen also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Eureka College, where he was a member of the Ronald W. Reagan Leadership Program, was a defensive lineman on the football team and was involved in numerous campus leadership roles.
